Group Class Training – Step One

STEP ONE

To start any educational endeavor can be intimidating..

We make it an adventure!

That’s why our Step One Course is designed to get you off to the right start. Learn how to hold the leash, decipher body language, implement canine management and lay the foundations for effective communication with your dog. We will also offer tips on problem solving for common household concerns like chewing, waste basket raiding, playing keep away and “catch me if you can”.

All students begin in Step One, even if they’ve had prior training. Students who have had prior experience will most likely move up to Step Two quickly.

Step One Course Covers:

Name Recognition

Let's start the name game! This will develop into other cues as you continue your journey.

Eye Contact & Attention

Having your dog's undivided attention is  paramount in beginning the teaching process.

Sit

Learning to sit in front of you while you're standing and sitting yourself.

Beginnings of Focus & Calm

Two important aspects of not only helping your dog reach the training goals you have, but having a well-manner companion.
