What Is Required to Enroll In Class?

1. A completed training application and veterinary release form.

* The veterinary release form allows us to obtain your dog’s records directly from your veterinarian.  Or, if you prefer, you could contact your veterinarian’s office and have them fax it to us. Our fax number is 888-449-5427

2. Proof of required vaccinations & a negative fecal by a Licensed Veterinarian.

* All out of date vaccinations must be given 7 days prior to their first visit with us to allow the appropriate incubation period for the immune system to respond appropriately. This is in accordance with the recommendations of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for your puppy or dog’s safety and well being.

* We do accept titers for vaccinations, with the exception of the Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations.

* We reserve the right to follow the advice of our veterinary consultants for all fecal and vaccination concerns on a case by case basis.

For Puppies 9 weeks to 20 weeks of age the following is required:

– DHPP, or other variation including the Distemper & Parvo vaccinations

– Bordetella also known as the “Kennel Cough” vaccination

– Although most veterinarians only require an annual fecal test, here at NBK9 we require a Negative Fecal Test within 2 weeks of the first visit to NBK9 & every 6 months thereafter

For Dogs 6 months of age and older the following is required:

– DHPP, or other variation including the Distemper & Parvo vaccinations

– Bordetella, also known as the “Kennel Cough” vaccination

– Rabies

– Although most veterinarians only require an annual fecal test, here at NBK9 we require a Negative Fecal Test within 30 days of the first visit to NBK9 & every 6 months thereafter

3. Pre-payment of tuition to begin class.

* Effective July, 1 2018 pet care services, including but not limited to grooming and boarding services, pet sitting services, and obedience training services are subject to sales tax. Reference KRS 139.20

What Else Do You Need To Know?

* All students for the Group Training Classes must attend Orientation first. Orientation is without your dog or puppy and is held multiple times a month. A student’s Orientation date will depend on seats are currently available in class.

* Student’s schedules will include Skip Weeks. These dates are dedicated to other planned events and trainer continued education. Students enrolled in the 2 Month Membership will still have 8 weeks of class opportunities and Students enrolled in the 4 Month Membership will still have 16 weeks of class opportunities, not including the Skip Weeks. Likewise, students enrolled in either the Right Start Puppy Class or the Basic Manners Class will have 6 classes, not including the Skip Weeks.

* Student’s who enroll in a 2 Month Membership will have the option to increase their training package to the 4 Month Membership within the first two weeks of their enrollment for only the difference of the current advertised tuition between the two package options.

* We do not offer make up classes, so please plan carefully.
